Meet Our Management Team

Tabatha Payne, RN

Founder & President

Tabatha is a Registered Nurse who discovered her passion in home care. Founding and operating Focus HealthCare has been an education beyond anything she could have imagined. Having the opportunity to impact the lives of caregivers and families in such a meaningful way is truly fulfilling and something she is profoundly grateful to be a part of.

Meeting the needs of others, whether that be a caregiver, colleague, or client, is her goal.   She feels blessed to be surrounded by incredible people who believe that what we do matters, and how we do it matters more.

Linda Buchanan

Senior Resource Specialist

Linda holds a BS in Education from William Jewell College and has a deep understanding and empathy for prospective clients from her own personal journey of meeting her family’s healthcare needs.

Linda is on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Council for In-Home Services, sponsors informational talks and workshops, maintains referral relationships, and works with families to organize plans to start care for loved ones. Prior to working for Focus, Linda was an Account Executive for an Employee Benefits Agency.

Karla Easley

Administrative Assistant

Karla has worked for Focus HealthCare since 2015, first in the capacity of Scheduling Coordinator, and most recently as Administrative Assistant.

Joy Smith

Office Manager

Joy holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Psychology and began working with Focus HealthCare Solutions in 2009. Joy brings 20 years of experience in working with individuals with chronic mental health issues and intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Her role as Office Manager allows her to use her different areas of expertise to manage Focus’ payroll, process development, and support coordination as well as working with Missouri Medicaid clients to ensure ongoing home and community based services. 

Lisa Broughton

Scheduling Coordinator

Lisa has represented Focus HealthCare since 2009, beginning as a Professional Caregiver, working in the field for over 5 years. She then moved to management as a Scheduling Coordinator, maintaining and coordinating schedules for over 70 caregivers and 260 clients.

She works everyday on caregiver compatibility, working with Focus Care Coordinators to make good caregiver and client matches, and has a deep understanding of the caregiver personalities/preferences she schedules. 

Susie Alders

Transition Coordinator

Susie worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) before joining Focus in 2006 as a Caregiver.  She later moved into a Program Coordinator Role and is now a Care Transitions Specialist. Susie helps ensure successful transitions for hospitalized clients when they return home.

Susie’s strong belief in a person’s right to age in place guides her in her work and has made her a strong advocate for Focus’ clients and their families. 

Cheryl Michael

Director of Human Resources

Cheryl has represented Focus HealthCare Solutions since 2010. Cheryl’s goal is to create a connection with all Caregivers from the point of hire and to provide support for any situation that may arise in the field. 

After receiving her Bachelor’s in Business Management from Washburn University, she began her HR career working in the engineering world for 15 years. Cheryl’s decision to change career directions in 2009 was based on her personal experience of being an adult child of an aging parent with health issues.

Stephanie Jennings, LPN

Patient Care Coordinator

Stephanie joined the Focus HealthCare team in 2006. Stephanie’s desire to work in nursing from a young age prompted her to earn her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree. She views the opportunity to work with patients in their homes as a great honor and prides herself in becoming a friend and confidant to her patients, caregivers, and co-workers alike. 

Stephanie is also the tech support resource for the Focus team, helping everyone understand and use systems and software.

Sonja Moore, LPN

Patient Care Director

Sonja joined the Focus Management Team in 2021. Her passion for helping people from a young age steered her into the medical field. She has worked as an LPN for over 20 years, primarily working with pediatrics. Nursing is Sonja’s passion.

Sonja is also in charge of caregiver education and loves to see our caregivers learn and grow in knowledge and experience. Sonja teaches in-person education, CPR, and matches new hires with mentors for a successful start.

Sarai Graham

Senior Field Supervisor & Care Coordinator

Sarai started in 2012 as a CNA and caregiver.  Advancing into a field supervisor role in 2015, and then into the office as a Scheduling coordinator /Care Coordinator in 2019. Sarai ensures that families’ needs are met while supporting them through any challenges they face. She also assists in scheduling caregivers and supporting them in their invaluable role as caretakers for our families.

Caring for people has been a lifelong passion for Sarai, starting as a child when she would go with her grandmother to care for elder family members in their homes. This experience helped Sarai understand that the most imperative part of providing care is making sure that the patient’s goals for their own care are heard and implemented. The profound effect these experiences had on her life led her to a career in healthcare.
